The Atlas
The known universe,
one continuous journey.
The Atlas is a scale-accurate flight through the Solar System — the Sun, the eight planets at their true positions today, and the Moon — with the galaxy beyond. It needs WebGL and motion to fly; on this device it rests. The numbers it is built from: the Moon at 384,400 km, the Sun at 149.6 million km, Neptune thirty times farther still — and the nearest star 7,000 times beyond Neptune.
